hi all!
just checking in from Gainesville, GA! Yep, you heard that right! Just a year ago I was here, just starting the race! Crazy how fast time flies and how much has happened since then!
i just wanted to say hello and update all of my incredible supporters on where i’m at, how i’m doing, and what’s to come in my life!
———————–
i’m currently living in a cabin with 15 other people! it’s busy, exciting and a lot of fun! i actually got to Gainesville on August 22nd! as many of you may or may have not known, my younger sister Faith and I spent 11 days in Guatemala working with the ministry (OneWay) I worked with on the race! it was so sweet to see my kids again and all of my close friends! i loved getting to invite someone from my pre-race life, into my post-race life! it was a really sweet time 🙂
so some of you may be a tad confused on what’s going on and why I’m currently in Gainesville and not at home! Well, while on the race, the Lord actually called me to CGA. It’s a discipleship program where i go to class everyday, have a job, and live in community with other CGA apprentinces. in this class i will learn to know myself, lead myself, and lead others. i am so excited to see what i will learn here and how i will apply it to my future! i was so excited to do this, but i also am planning on moving to guatemala in january for awhile! I AM SO PUMPED FOR THIS!!!
although it is very exciting, both of these experiences take money and fundraising! so, my intial thought was to quit CGA (which i did). i thought of the one i wanted more, and Guatemala was the one. so i decided that i was going to stay home, work, and fundraise for Guatemala. and that honestly seemed like a really great idea to me!
little did i know, staying home wasn’t what the Lord had planned for me. for a week in july, all of the squads from Gap Year met up again in Gainesville, Georgia. i got to hug my friends, see others, and worship and learn a whole lot. even though it was incredible, it was very hard. i was faced with the fact that the Lord wanted me in Gainesville this fall, when i didn’t necessarily want to go. i didn’t want to fundraise for both events, and i ultimately wasn’t sure how it was going to work. i had quit the program, told everyone that i wasn’t going, and here i am, God wanting me to go.
so less than a month before the program started, i decided that i was going to go. and now, here we are! God knows what He wants and He will get it! I am here to say yes to whatever He wants, and that’s what I’m doing!

So, guatemala! YES I AM STILL PLANNING ON GOING TO GUATEMALA!!!!! and i am so gosh dang excited about it!!!! but first, here we are! learning how to disciple myself so that i can disciple others. it’s very important that i know how to disciple myself first! so here i am! YAY!

and here comes the scary part about doing all of these things… funding! :/
it’s scary asking, but actually, fundraising is so cool you guys! you get to partner with me in what i’m doing for the kingdom! if you can’t do what i’m doing, then you can help me which is like you guys being here with me! i love the concept of it!
the total amount i am trying to fundraise (CGA + GUATEMALA) = $26,750
yeah, you guys. that’s a CRAZY AMOUNT!! it hurts my brain actually!
that includes living in Guatemala for an ENTIRE YEAR (all expenses! food, housing, insurance, etc.
and that includes the REST OF MY FUNDING FOR CGA!!!
Y’all, i know that’s a lot of money. trust me, i know! it’s hard asking and trying to raise that much! but i’m fully trusting the Lord with all of my expenses and trusting that He will take care of what i need financially.
that is where YOU ALL come in!!!
i’m actually looking for monthly supporters!!! i will be reaching out to people i know to help support me monthly!!! if you would like to help support me (any amount is FANTASTIC), please let me know!!! i am also going to be sending out support cards very soon!! please DM (direct message) me if you would like to know more!!!
thank you guys for following my journey with me! it’s been incredible so far, and i can’t wait to see where the Lord takes me!! all of you are amazing, and thank you for partnering with me AND the kingdom!
keep an eye out for updates! <3 you all!
